Bonaire cruise port today
Cruise ships tie up right in front of Kralendijk, Bonaire's small capital, so you step straight onto the waterfront. Bonaire is quieter and more nature-focused than Aruba: the whole coastline is a protected marine park and the reefs start a few metres from shore.
We are still adding the Bonaire ship schedule: there is no public feed we can use automatically, so calls are entered by hand. Until then, the port guide below covers everything you need for your day.
Weather today
⛅ Partly cloudy, up to 29°C · 2.4 mm rain during port hours · wind about 27 km/h.
Forecast from MET Norway, updated daily. Sunscreen and water: the sun is strong and the trade wind hides it.
What's open today
On Sundays most shops are closed, but many in the centre open when a cruise ship is in. being verified

Bonaire is famous for reefs you can reach from the beach. Anyone entering the water in the marine park needs a nature fee tag; tour operators usually arrange it.

A limestone staircase (closer to 70 steps than 1,000) down to one of the island's best-known dive and snorkel sites, north of town.

Flamingos, salt pans and slave huts
Drive the flat south: pink salt pans, white salt mountains, the historic slave huts and, often, flamingos feeding in the shallows.

Shallow, turquoise lagoon on the east coast. Windsurfing school, beach bars and guided mangrove kayak or snorkel tours.
Tour
Rincon and the northbeing verified
Bonaire's oldest village, Gotomeer lake with flamingos, and coastal viewpoints. Washington Slagbaai National Park is up here too, but its rough roads need a full day.
